Hit and run near Moncton 2 years ago still under investigation

Police continue to investigate a hit and run near Moncton that left a cyclist seriously injured more than two years ago.

The RCMP say a cyclist travelling on the exit ramp connecting Homestead Road to Berry Mills Road was hit by a vehicle travelling towards him.

It happened around 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 27, 2014, and police say the driver did not stop at the scene.

The victim was taken to hospital in Moncton with serious injuries.

Police say the vehicle is described as a mid-size car or SUV, possibly dark blue in colour.

The vehicle likely had considerable damage on the driver's side as a result of the collision.
