Increased police presence at Fredericton High School after threat

The Anglophone West School District says there is an increased police presence at Fredericton High School after a threat.

In a press release, the school district says the school recently recieved an anonymous threat written on a bathroom wall, adding the safety and security of the school community is the top priority.

According to the release the school has implemented protocols involving the use of external resources, but students remain engaged in their learning activities.

Fredericton Police spokesperson Alycia Bartlett tells The Daily Gleaner the increased presence is just precautionary and to show a presence to quell concerns, adding this type of disruption in a school setting will not be tolerated.
