Joint investigation leads to child pornography charges against N.B. man
A St. Stephen, N.B., man has been charged following a joint investigation by the RCMP and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
The RCMP say Joseph Bruce Haggerty, 49, was arrested and charged in Cleveland, Ohio, on Aug. 10.
Mounties executed a search warrant at a St. Stephen home the next day and seized several electronic devices.
Police say Haggerty was charged with making and possessing child pornography, and luring a child under the age of 18, in Saint John provincial court on Monday.
He remains in custody south of the border and police say an arrest warrant has been issued in Canada.
The RCMP say the investigation is ongoing.
