Jump at pumps expected ahead of long weekend

If drivers are looking to save at the pumps in New Brunswick, today might be the day for a fill up.

Industry analysts are expecting a hike in fuel prices when the Energy and Utilities Board makes their weekly adjustment at midnight tonight.

The price of gas could jump 2.5 cents per litre, while the increase in diesel may be 3.5 cents.

The current maximum for regular self-serve gas is is $1.29.2 and diesel is set at $1.37.5.

Many stations across the province are selling fuel for a few cents less than the maximum prices.
