Jury selection continues for Marissa Shephard trial
Jury selection is continuing Tuesday at the trial of a woman accused in the brutal killing of an 18-year-old man more than two years ago in Moncton, New Brunswick.
Six jurors were selected yesterday in the trial of Marissa Shephard on charges of first-degree murder and arson in the death of 18-year-old Baylee Wylie in December 2015.
The judge presiding over the case has said 12 jurors and two alternates are to be selected for a trial that's expected to last up to 67 days.
Shephard is the third person to stand trial in Wylie's death -- 19-year-old Devin Morningstar was earlier convicted of first-degree murder and arson while 19-year-old Tyler Noel pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and arson.
