Kent county man faces charges after trying to evade police: RCMP
RCMP say a Sainte-Anne-de-Kent man has been charged with several offences after trying to evade police and driving while prohibited.
Police say the man tried to avoid arrest on Tuesday by failing to stop for police, abandoning his vehicle, and then taking off on foot along an ATV trail in Sainte-Anne-de-Kent.
He was arrested around 10 p.m. by Richibucto RCMP.
Mounties say 21-year-old Joel Gray has been charged with assaulting a police officer with a weapon, dangerous driving, evading police, public mischief, and driving while prohibited.
Gray has been remanded into custody until his next court appearance on Friday afternoon (June 15th).
