Law enforcement increase patrols on inner Bay of Fundy rivers

Parks Canada says law enforcement agencies have increased joint patrols and surveillance on inner Bay of Fundy rivers.

This after biologists found an endangered inner Bay of Fundy Atlantic salmon with a fishing hook in its side in the Upper Salmon River in Fundy National Park.

Officials say inner Bay of Fundy Atlantic salmon are endangered and it's illegal to kill, harm, harass or capture them.

All waters within Fundy National Park are closed to fishing, except for Bennett Lake and Wolfe Lake, which require a valid park fishing permit.
