Madawaska Trail recognized as Signature Trail under recently announced Trails Action Plan

The Madawaska Trail is being recognized as one of the 11 Signature Trails in the province.

The Signature Trails were highlighted in the recently announced Trails Action Plan, a nearly $16 million investment in the province's trails network.

The trails have been designated for development, which includes signage upgrades, infrastructure, and long-term management plans.

Government says investment in the Madawaska region will enhance the established cycling trails, currently maintained by Vélo Edmundston.

Denis Dionne, the president of Vélo Edmundston, says this investment will be excellent for the development of mountain biking trails and for the overall region.

Government says the Trail Action Plan aims to elevate the network of over 20,000 km of developed trails by improving accessibility, safety, and overall user experience.
