Members of New Brunswick legislature pay tribute to Rebecca Schofield
Members of the New Brunswick legislature have paid tribute to a teen whose struggle with a terminal illness inspired a global movement aimed at spreading acts of kindness.
Premier Brian Gallant was among several MLA's who rose in the legislature to send condolences to the family of Rebecca Schofield, who inspired the social media BeccaToldMeTo campaign before her death last month at age 18 following a battle with brain cancer.
Gallant said her kindness and love for others has made New Brunswick, and the rest of world a better place, while Progressive Conservative MLA Bruce Fitch praised her as a remarkable young lady who faced the end of her life while encouraging others to find the best within themselves.
Green Party leader David Coon added Rebecca will never forgotten for the many acts of kindness that she inspired among people around the world.
