Minimum wage increases Sunday
The minimum wage is increasing from $11.00 to $11.25 per hour in New Brunswick on Sunday.
Government says the minimum wage will be indexed to the corresponding increase in the New Brunswick consumer price index.
Finance Minister Cathy Rogers says this will ensure that wages keep pace with the rising costs of goods and services, while providing business owners with more predictability so they can better plan for the future.
This marks the fourth increase to the province's minimum wage since December 2014.
New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island have harmonized the date of effect for any minimum wage increase to April 1st.
