Minto man pleads guilty to animal neglect
A man from the Fredericton area has pleaded guilty to a charge related to animal neglect.
The New Brunswick SPCA says Shawn Booth of Minto was charged with failing to provide adequate shelter for his dog.
According to the organization, the dog was seized after being left outside in -31 degree weather with only an open car for shelter.
The animal was later adopted to a new home.
Booth was fined $500 and prohibited from owning dogs for three years.
