Moncton man booted while attending funeral service

A Moncton man is upset after leaving a relative's funeral to find a parking boot on his vehicle.

Jeff Burns tells the CBC his wife parked in a private lot on Friday so elderly funeral attendees could park close to the church.

Burns says the car had a sign on it that said funeral, indicating they were attending the service at the church across the street.

He had to pay a company to have boot removed and Burns says he wants that money back.

Greg Kennedy with Parking Solutions says the lot is clearly marked as private and no special considerations can be made to allow extra vehicles.

Kennedy says there will not be any reimbursement.
