N.B. accepting applications for SEED jobs program
Heads up students: the New Brunswick government is now accepting applications for its summer jobs program.
The Student Employment Experience Development program – also known as SEED – will be taking applications until March 31.
Officials say up to 2,000 students will be randomly selected to receive vouchers, and can then apply for jobs with registered employers.
High school and college students will receive a summer job placement of up to eight weeks, while university students will receive placements of up to 10 weeks.
Applicants must be a resident of New Brunswick, a student in the current academic year, and attending a post-secondary institution in the fall.
Non-profit organizations and First Nations community positions will be funded 100 per cent, while private sectors and municipalities will be funded at 50 per cent.
