N.B. government says rural communities to soon have access to faster internet

The New Brunswick government says rural communities in the province will soon have faster internet services and mobile connectivity.

They say rural high-speed internet provider Xplornet Communications has chosen the province as the site for its latest 5G technology, which offers faster speeds and more reliable connections on smartphones and other devices.

The New Brunswick government says the province will be the first to have rural access to it.

They say the first phase of the project will begin immediately and is expected to be completed by 2020.
