N.B. hockey player suspended following brawl in Saint John

A junior hockey league player involved in a brawl in the stands during a weekend game in Saint John has been suspended for an entire season.

The New Brunswick Junior Hockey League tells CTV Atlantic the Grand Lake Moose player will not be allowed to play in the 2017-18 season.

Police broke up a fight between players and fans during the semifinal matchup between the Moose and the local Southern Sting at the Lord Beaverbrook Rink on Saturday.

Video shot by a fan shows a jerseyed man on skates trading blows with people in the stands.

Police in Saint John say no one has come forward to make a complanit, so no charges are anticipated.
