N.S. woman reunited with photos after lost camera surfaces on N.B. beach

A Nova Scotia woman says she was amazed to see photos posted on Facebook that she'd taken on a disposable camera lost during a river rafting excursion three years ago.

The camera was carried by Bay of Fundy tides 100 kilometres from South Maitland to Dorchester Cape in New Brunswick where it was found by Chris McMahon while he was picking up garbage on a beach.

McMahon had the photos developed and posted them on his Facebook page in an effort to track down the owner and Cindy Willigar says she was shocked when she saw the post, saying she never thought she'd get back the precious photos taken during the trip celebrating a friend's 50th birthday.

The owner of the rafting company is offering McMahon a free trip down the Shubenacadie River and Willigar hopes that will give her the chance to thank him in person.
