NBCC's OASIS program expanding to Fredericton

New Brunswick Community College is expanding its entrepreneurial mentorship program to Fredericton this fall.

The OASIS program connects small business owners facing challenges with experienced entrepreneurs and community representatives who provide support, resources and guidance.

NBCC's entrepreneurship coordinator says more than 40 small business owners have already gone through the program in Saint John, Moncton and Miramichi.

Clarissa Harris-LeBreton says more than three-in-five participants have reported seeing increased revenues.

"We recognize that small business owners are very busy and each face unique challenges in their operations," she said. "We work hard to connect our participants with local mentors who can help them with their specific needs, be it staffing, payroll, policy and procedure development, we help them find solutions that work for them."

Harris-LeBreton says the program is open to NBCC students and alumni, as well as the general public.
