New study looks at housing needs of adults with intellectual disabilities
A Fredericton not-for-profit agency has launched a study looking at the housing needs and preferences of adults with intellectual disabilities in the city.
Willow Tree Community says there's limited information about the number of people with intellectual disabilities living in the Fredericton area.
The two-part study includes a survey and a qualitative study, which will involve interviewing 20 to 30 adults with intellectual disabilities.
Officials say the study will help them gather information about current and future housing needs, as well as community inclusion preferences to help plan programs tailored to the community's needs.
Findings will be reported by the end of September.
