New UNB kinesiology building officially opens
A new $36-million-dollar kinesiology building at the University of New Brunswick campus in Fredericton has officially opened.
The 5,400 square metre building will house a research cluster focused on health, wellness and physical fitness.
Both the provincial and federal governments contributed funding for the project.
New Brunswick says the growing cost of treating chronic illnesses is driving the demand for more applied research in preventive and rehabilitative care.
