No injuries after fire forces tenants from home

A number of residents have been displaced from their homes after a fire at an apartment building on the south side of the city last night.

 Fredericton Fire crews were called to the blaze around 6:30 at the 2-storey, 4-unit building on Canterbury Drive.

The fire broke out in one of the units, which was extensively damaged, while the other units received smoke damage.

All of the tenants managed to get out safely.

The fire was under control within a couple of hours.

The Red Cross is assisting the tenants.
