No one hurt after attic fire displaces 4 people

The Canadian Red Cross is helping four people who have been displaced from their homes after a fire in Fredericton yesterday afternoon.

Fredericton Fire Platoon Chief, Steve Fraser says crews got the call around 5:16pm after smoke was reported coming from the attic of a 2-storey home on Pine Street on the north side of the city.

Crews were on scene for about 3 hours.

There was smoke and fire damage to the attic and top floor of the 2-unit home.

All residents were able to get out safely with no injuries reported.

No word on a cause yet, as the fire is still being investigated.
