Ontario man wanted on Canada-wide warrant arrested in N.B.

An Ottawa man who police considered a risk to public safety has been arrested in New Brunswick.

Codiac Regional RCMP said Tuesday that they arrested Michael Phillip Vitello on a Canada-wide warrant.

The 47-year-old man was wanted for breaching three conditions of a recognizance.

Vitello was originally charged with conspiracy to commit murder, among other charges, and Ontario Provincial Police considered him "a risk to public safety."

New Brunswick RCMP say Vitello will be turned over to authorities in Ontario.
