Police seize suspected methamphetamine, firearm from Fredericton residence

Fredericton police say a man is facing several charges after officers seized suspected methamphetamine and a firearm from a residence.

Police say officers executed a search warrant on the city's north side shortly after 4:30 p.m. Thursday.

An adult male was arrested and has been charged with unsafe storage of a firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm, and possession of a controlled substance.

He's due to appear in court on May 31.

Police say they're not releasing any other details at this time "in order to protect the integrity of the investigation."
