Price at the pumps rises ahead of long weekend

Fuel prices are up in New Brunswick this morning.

The experts were predicting a spike at the pumps as we head into the long weekend and they got it right.

After the Energy and Utilities Board made the weekly adjustment, both gas and diesel are up close to 3 cents per litre.

The new maximum for regular self-serve gas has been set at $1.33.6, up 2.7cents per litre and diesel has increased by 2.6 cents to $1.35.5.

Many stations will sell for a few cents less than the maximum price.
