Province announces additional investment to help New Brunswick musicians

The province has announced an additional $50,000 investment to help New Brunswick musicians.

Government says the additional money is being added to the current fiscal year's funding of $320,000 to help musicians showcase their talents outside the province.

The investment by the Department of Tourism, Heritage, and Culture aims to support musicians with the costs associated with showcases, live performances, professional development, and business travel through the Music Industry Development Program.

The department announced last year that the province would join its Atlantic counterparts in having its music industry association administer funding to support the music sector.
