Province announces funding for Transition NB
The provincial government has announced an investment of $450,000 for a transition planning program for youths with a disability.
Transition NB, through Ability New Brunswick, involves a one-on-one transition planning service, social media hub, and planning guide for youths with a mobility disability to help with the transition to post-secondary education, training, and jobs.
Government says the program implementation and testing will involve youths between the ages of 16 to 30 in the Moncton, Saint John and Fredericton regions.
Community Foundations of Canada is also contributing $140,000 towards the initiative.
