Province announces investment in Greater Moncton SPCA
The province has announced it's investing $450,000 in the construction of a new facility for the Greater Moncton SPCA.
Premier Brian Gallant says the SPCA plays an important role in ensuring animals are taken care of while they wait for their forever home, adding that this investment will help them build a new, larger facility and enable them to continue their work.
Dave Rogers, the executive director of the Greater Moncton SPCA, says the new facility "will be state-of-the-art in animal care.”
The development of the $5.8 million infrastructure is set to begin in the spring of 2019, while the new building will double the size of the current 38-year-old facility.
