Province, federal government announce joint investment in new Centreville community complex

The province and federal government have announced a more than $3 million joint investment in a new community complex in Centreville.

The federal government is contributing more than $1.8 million to the project, while the province is set to invest more than $1 million.

The remaining balance will be funded by The Village of Centreville.

Government says the new 42,000 square foot multi-use community complex will provide a central gathering place for recreational and cultural activities, including community festivals, school events, trade shows, rodeos, tractor pulls, automotive shows, as well as agricultural shows and exhibits.

The building will be designed in a U-shape with more than 4,000 stadium-style seats and the ability to add an additional 4,000 seats to the in-field.
