Province, federal government investing in walkway improvements at Le Pays de la Sagouine

New Brunswick and Ottawa are spending a total of 1.5 million dollars to renovate the one-kilometre walkway at Le Pays de la Sagouine.

Officials say the refurbishment is meant to extend the life of the walkway by making it better able to withstand ice and weather conditions.

They say the walkway has become a key symbol of the Bouctouche, New Brunswick tourist attraction, which features a reconstructed Acadian village.
