Province reaches agreements with home-support agencies

New Brunswick says it has reached agreements with 50 home-support agencies in the province.

The agencies deliver services to more than 5,200 seniors and adults with disabilities.

Seniors and Long-Term Care Minister Lisa Harris says social development staff are working with clients to ensure there's no disruption of service as the new contracts are implemented.

The province spends $135 million a year on in-home support, including home-support services.
