RCMP ask for public's help to identify man wanted in connection with an assault in Taymouth
RCMP are asking for the public's help to identify a man wanted in connection with an assault following a crash between two vehicles.
Police received a report of the incident on Highway 628 in Taymouth, which is located about 35 kilometres north of Fredericton, on February 5th.
Mounties say a man driving an SUV reported a car had been driving closely behind his vehicle before it passed and came to stop at the bottom of a blind hill, blocking the road sideways.
The SUV was not able to stop due to road conditions and slid into the car.
Police say the driver of the SUV was then assaulted by the driver of the car through an open window.
The victim sustained minor injuries as he was able to close the door and drive away.
The suspect is described as a man, approximately 20 to 25 years old, standing around 6'0 to 6'2" tall, with shoulder-length wavy light brown or sandy coloured hair.
Police say he was driving what is believed to be a red Kia hatchback, which would have extensive damage to the rear passenger side.
