RCMP say an armed robbery in Saint-Joseph-de-Madawaska has left one person injured.

The Saint-Léonard detachment was informed Saturday of the incident, which took place at Paul Bard's garage around 3:30 p.m. on Friday.

Police say an employee had been struck in the head with an unknown object and is in stable condition after sustaining serious head injuries.

An undisclosed amount of cash was taken.

RCMP are asking for the public's help to locate a person of interest who was seen near the garage several times in the past few weeks.
