RCMP investigate 'senseless' act of vandalism at Fredericton Junction school
Police are investigating what they're calling a 'senseless' case of vandalism at a Fredericton Junction school.
RCMP Cpl. Nick Arbour said officers were called to Sunbury West School around 11 p.m. Saturday for a report of trucks damaging the soccer field.
Arbour said officers made a patrol of the area, but were unable to locate the vehicles.
"It was at least one [vehicle], but there could have been as many as two," Arbour told our newsroom Tuesday morning.
Police don't have a dollar figure on the damage, but Arbour said it was significant.
"Needless to say, the people in Fredericton Junction are not very pleased about it," he said. "It's senseless."
Mounties are asking anyone who may have information about the incident to contact them.
