RCMP launches contest to name 13 future police dogs
Hey kids – the RCMP needs your help to name 13 German shepherd puppies destined for police work.
Children ages 14 and under can submit names for the dogs born at the RCMP Police Dog Service Training Centre in Alberta.
The names must begin with the letter "K" and have no more than two syllables and nine letters.
The deadline is April 11 and the contest winners will be announced on May 11.
Officials say there will be one winner from each province and territory.
