RCMP say human remains identified as missing Upper Cape man

The RCMP says human remains found on a riverbank in southeastern New Brunswick have been identified as those of a man who'd been missing since last year.

Police say Tyler Fillmore of Upper Cape had been reported missing on November 26th, but a search for him was unsuccessful.

They say his remains were found on the bank of the Timber River near Port Elgin on May 5th.

The investigation is ongoing but the Mounties say foul play is not suspected in his death.
