RCMP say woman charged after drugs seized from Saint-Léonard home

RCMP say a 43-year-old woman has been charged after drugs were seized from a Saint-Léonard home.

The West District RCMP Crime Reduction Unit executed search warrants at a home on two separate occasions in March.

Police say more than 2,000 pills believed to be methamphetamine were seized from the home on March 2016, while additional pills, also believed to be methamphetamine, were seized last Friday along with contraband tobacco and cash.

Chantal Côté of Saint-Léonard was charged on Tuesday with possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking.

She has been remanded into custody and is set to appear in court Thursday for a bail hearing.
