Saint-François-de-Madawaska man sentenced to prison for drug trafficking: RCMP

RCMP say a Saint-François-de-Madawaska man has been sentenced to serve time in a federal penitentiary after pleading guilty to drug related offences.

Thirty-one year old Ken Bolduc was sentenced to two years plus a day when he appeared in Edmundston provincial court on Wednesday.

Bolduc was fined $7,100, is prohibited from possessing a firearm for life, and must submit a DNA sample to court.

He pleaded guilty to three counts of trafficking methamphetamine in March.

Bolduc was arrested in August of 2016 following an eight-month investigation into drug trafficking by the RCMP Federal Serious and Organized Crime Section in Saint-Léonard with help from the West District RCMP and Edmundston Police Force.
