Salmonella fears prompt recall of fish batter mix

A nationwide recall has been issued for Shore Lunch brand fish breading/batter mix due to possible salmonella contamination.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency says the recall applies to the brand's original recipe and Cajun-style flavours.

According to the agency, the recall was triggered by a recall in another country.

The CFIA says no illnesses have been reported so far, but anyone with the recalled products should throw them out or return them to the store where they were purchased.
