School begins Tuesday for most N.B. students

Expect your morning to commute to be busier than usual on Tuesday as kids start making their way back to class.

It's the first day of classes for most elementary, middle and high school students in New Brunswick.

There are some exceptions though — grade 10, 11 and 12 students at Oromocto High, Leo Hayes High, Woodstock High and Carleton North High schools return to class on Wednesday.

So do grade 7 and 8 students at Bliss Carman Middle, Devon Middle, George Street Middle, Harold Peterson Middle, Nashwaaksis Middle, Ridgeview Middle and Perth-Andover middle schools.

Classes at Fredericton High School are also delayed by one day due to ongoing construction.

Grade 9 students will start on Wednesday, while those in grades 10 through 12 return to class on Thursday.

Classes at Polyvalente Thomas-Albert in Grand Falls are also delayed until Wednesday due to ongoing construction.

First-year students at New Brunswick Community College start classes on Tuesday, while returning students begin their year on Wednesday.

Classes at the University of New Brunswick and St. Thomas University start on Thursday.
