Skills Canada New Brunswick competitions take place in Fredericton

Over 100 students from across the province will be in Fredericton on Saturday for Skills Canada New Brunswick provincial competitions.

Competitions will be held in 10 subject areas, including automotive service, carpentry, public speaking and fashion technology.

Organizers say the students will be competing for a chance to represent the province at the Skills Canada National Competition in Winnipeg from May 31 to June 3.

Competitions will get underway at Fredericton High School at 8:30 a.m., with closing ceremonies beginning at 4 p.m.
