Snow, rain and freezing rain expected across NB
School districts in parts of New Brunswick are announcing closures today
Miramichi, Rexton, Edmundston and around the Campbellton and Dalhousie are closed as well as a number of schools in the Anglophone West district are also shut down for the day, in zones 1-5
Environment Canada has issued snowfall, rainfall and freezing rain warnings across New Brunswick, with 15 to 30 centimetres of snow expected over northern areas of the province today and into tomorrow.
A low pressure system that was tracking from the central United States yesterday, had it sights set on the Maritimes.
The snow is expected to change to ice pellets and freezing rain this afternoon, and motorists are being advised to use caution.
Heavy rain in some areas could bring anywhere from 25 to 45 millimetres today and into tonight, with localized flooding in low-lying areas, a good possibility.
