Teen pleads guilty to arson in connection with fires on Fredericton's north side

A teen has pleaded guilty to arson in connection with fires that damaged nine homes and an apartment building on Fredericton's north side earlier this year.

The Daily Gleaner reports the 17-year-old boy, whose identity is protected by the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, pleaded guilty to the 10 counts of arson Thursday.

The charges are connected to fires that were set at a complex on Mia Circle and nine dwelling homes on Westin Lane on January 14th.

The teen is set to return to court on July 19th for a pre-sentence report and victim-impact statements.
