Teen sentenced after police seize $178K worth of drugs in Fredericton

Jail time for a 17-year-old boy who admitted to possessing methamphetamine and cocaine for the purposes of trafficking, as well as unlawful possession of firearms.

The CBC reports the teen, who cannot be identified, was sentenced to 15 months of custody on Friday.

He'll receive credit for time already served, and will serve part of his sentence under community supervision.

The teen was arrested in September after Fredericton police said they seized $178,000 worth of drugs, two firearms, and cash from a "fortified building" on the city's north side.
