Three-wheeler driver flees scene of Fredericton crash, say police
Fredericton police say the driver of a three-wheeler fled the scene following a crash on the city's north side.
Sgt. Ross Chandler told Bell Media Radio it happened in the Union Street area around midnight Friday night.
"The three-wheeler was on the road and was struck by the car," said Chandler.
Chandler said the driver fled the scene on the three-wheeler before officers could arrive.
"[The driver] didn't even talk to the driver in the car," he said.
Chandler said the driver of the car was not hurt.
The crash was one of 32 calls the Fredericton Police Force responded to on Friday night.
Chandler said officers arrested one person for impaired driving and an adult male for breaching a judge's undertaking.
He said officers also responded to several alarm calls, which all turned out to be false alarms.
There were also several disturbances and reports of intoxicated people.
Chandler said officers on the north side also responded to a report that a vehicle had driven up onto a sidewalk around 10:20 p.m. Friday.
He said the vehicle left the area before police arrived.
