Two arrested after report of shots fired in Moncton

An hours-long police operation related to a shooting incident has ended in two arrests in New Brunswick.

Police say they received a report of shots fired on a street in downtown Moncton early Sunday morning.

RCMP blocked off the scene on High Street and asked people to stay away from the area.

Sgt. Andre Pepin says a man and woman were arrested in an apartment later that afternoon.
