Two men arrested after police respond to disturbance at Saint John mall
The Saint John Police Force says two people have been arrested following a disturbance at the Prince Edward Square Mall on Tuesday night.
Officers located a group of men who were yelling at each other when they arrived.
Police say one man, who was the target of the group, had locked himself in a business for safety until the police arrived.
A 24-year-old man was placed under arrest for causing a disturbance and uttering threats, while a 26-year-old man was also arrested for assault with a weapon and causing a disturbance.
Police say the 26-year-old was also in violation of an undertaking and in possession of marijuana.
The 24-year-old was released on conditions and will appear in court at a later date, while the 26-year-old man will appear before a provincial court judge on Wednesday.
