Two people found guilty of conspiracy to import cocaine

The RCMP say a man and woman from Dieppe have been found guilty of conspiracy to import cocaine into Canada.

The decision was handed down Wednesday following an eight-week jury trial in the Court of Queen's Bench in Moncton.

44-year-old Luc LeBlanc and 39-year-old Michelle LeBlanc were charged in January 2015 following an RCMP investigation into the importation of drugs that started in late 2012.

Police say a date for a sentencing hearing has yet to be determined, and they've been remanded into custody.
