Two Woodstock men arrested after bells stolen from two churches
Mounties have arrested two men after church bells were stolen from two churches in Carleton County in July.
The RCMP announced Tuesday that a 51-year-old man and a 52-year-old man, both from Woodstock, had been arrested and released pending a future court appearance.
The Kirk Church in Northampton reported its church bell stolen sometime between July 23 and 25.
It was recovered from a scrapyard in Fredericton on July 25.
The bell was also removed from the top of St. Paul's Anglican Church in Kirkland sometime between July 16 and 24 and is still missing.
