In Friday’s semi-final win over Acadia, Fitzpatrick had 10 kills and 14 digs.
In Saturday’s loss to Dal in the championship match, the final game of her U SPORTS career, Fitzpatrick led the Reds with 15 kills and 17 digs.
“Siobhan was a major contributor in our team’s success,” says Reds head coach Christine Biggs. “She is a strong leader and fierce competitor, worthy of being named one of the league’s First Team All-Stars.”

The UNB Reds/Papa John’s Pizza male athlete of the week is Will Legere, from the men’s basketball team.
Playing in the final game of his U SPORTS career, Legere recorded a double-double in Saturday’s 81-75 loss to the Dal Tigers in the semi-finals at the Atlantic University Sport men’s basketball championship, in Halifax.
Legere scored 16 points and grabbed 12 rebounds.
“Will finished his career with a flourish, giving the team three double-doubles in his last three games, when we needed it most,” says Reds head coach Brent Baker. “Despite losing to Dal in a hard-fought semi-final, Will went out on his shield.”
