UNB hosts first Brain Bee competition

High school students from across the Maritimes will show off their knowledge of neuroscience at the first ever UNB Brain Bee on Monday.

It's similar to a spelling bee, but instead of spelling words, the students will answer questions about the brain and neuroscience research.

Topics include sleep, intelligence, emotion, stress, aging and brain imaging.

The winner will advance to the Canadian National Brain Bee in Ontario in May, with the winner of that competition heading to the 2017 International Brain Bee World Championship in Washington, D.C.
